Very nice stand..it has to be sturdy to hold 622lbs. of water!!

Nice work! I've been asked by a co-worker to make a stand for a similar 75 gal. aquarium. Perfect timing for me to view this and get my mental wheels turning. What are your dimensions? Thanks for the post!

Hah, I made one of those for my 90. When I sold the whole setup, the guy commented on how the stand was heavier than the tank. He was right.
Looks like yours is too. Good job.

Thanks! The frame was built based on guidance here:


I made it ~35" high, with length & width dimensions to suit a 75 gal tank, plus 1/4" for margin (ended up being 48-3/4" X 18-3/4"). Sheathed it in 1/4" knotty pine plywood, with doors made from trimmed 1×4" pine boards glued up. Wife did an awesome job finishing it in milk paint. Now just needs fish…and plants…and water!

Take it from me. Do the water first. The fish and plants will appreciate it. ;-)
