Trying something a little different this time. I got this spectacular veneer on eBay and finally decided on something to show it off. This 3 legged jewelry cabinet, about 5 Ft. high is made to go in a corner of a room. I didn't have any plans to go by, so I made up my own dimensions for what I pictured in my mind. The doors have a slight curve to them, accomplished by ripping 7/8" strips of wood on a slight angle so when they were glued together they had a slight curve. Of course it involved a lot of soothing and shaping on both outside and inside of each door before applying the veneer. The figured on the outside and plain mahogany inside. The 3 legs also have a slight curve. The inside draws are maple with a quilted maple veneer on the front, with turned ziracote draw pulls. They all have partitions inside the draws for various sized jewelry along with ziracote rods and pegs to hang earrings and bracelets at the top of the open space above the draws. Near the bottom of the legs is a shelf for a nic-nac and it adds to the structural support of the legs.
