Project Information

Years ago, my father began to build a gun cabinet in high school. He never got it finished - until now. After all these years, the only thing that survived was the glass door.

So 50 years later….

I built him this pine gun cabinet and I used that same piece of glass that he started with. Now he is complaining that he needs a larger one!

Now see what you started. You did such a good job, you're going to have to build a bigger one and more of them for the guns he has now and for guns he will buy in the future.

I vote you son of the year! I love any reason to buy more guns, that is if you need a reason. I don't.

In all seriousness, I think it looks good and would be proud of it. I like that your were able to use the door he built. I'm a sentimental fool and appreciate the stuff I have from my dad and grandparents. I've known people that sold their deceased families heirloom quality stuff in yard sales.

Thank you all for your kind comments. It was fun to build and I will probably inherit it back some day! Hopefully, full of guns!
