You, sir, are outstanding in the field. And this piece is instanding in my favorites folder. And, also, there's a slight appearance of a shadow under the knob, which is absolutely ingenious if you did it on purpose.

I agree with John, the handle does look like it is floating…Great Effect !!!!

This is a labor of love, perfectly executed. I've always wanted to get into segmented stuff but never got to do it. Well done!

Cliff And everyone I made up a series of hexagon blocks as per the photo using three different timbers strips three quarters of an inch wide cut at 60 degrees three quarters of an inch long glued together to form hexagons Kaikatea which is the white diamond Kauri which is the light brown and Fijian Kauri which is the darker brown

An excellent mix of wood, with gnats azz tight bevel cuts, and assembled perfectly to make a lid.
