another project I've already posted but did'nt do justice to it with one photo. I turned both front legs and mortise and tenoned the rest. Finished with polyurithane. I also burnt the ivy in the back of the chair which was fun
'tis not a sin here…. we can all learn from each other.
I've read in numerous sources that chairs are the hardest things to make well, because of the stresses they need to endure. I've put some stools on the back burner for some time now…. and now that my hand-me down, factory made chairs are in need of, yet another reglueing I wonder if I'm up to just making my own. Of course a new table would have to come into play as well….
Hmmm, is there room on THE list for that???
Oh, and to avoid derailing this thread, Nice chair Mike!
That's the great thing about Lumberjocks. As long as we dont send our friends here, they'll never know who we stole our designing ideas from.
Great chair Mike
I started an Heirloom Rocker based on the plans Bill Kappel sent me, and so far I've glued the seat together and cut the back legs, but still need to finish them. I'm, uh… busy, yeah, that's it.
