Project Information

This was built in the style of my top 3 favorite guitar players. Body (Ash) is a SRV, Neck (basswood) is set up like an EVH Peavey Wolfgang, fret board (Maple), and the headstock is Jimi Hendrix. Finished off with gold Hardware and noiseless Fender pick-ups.

Next stop Les Paul style, then a 335 both Black Walnut. 335 is really worrying me! A lot of wood bending. Thoughts?

Great work, buddy!

I look forward to seeing the 335 - I really like those things, and they sound oh so sweet! Good luck, I would imagine that style of guitar will be quite a challenge!

Nice job.

You will have some additional challenges with the Les Paul, but worth the time. I put a burst finish on my, although it took 3 attempts to get the look I wanted.

I always wanted to try an Archtop. I bought "Making an Archtop Guitar." I don't have all the tools necessary yet, but this is on my list.

Also, take a peek at http://lumberjocks.com/projects/74403 for a recent archtop project.

Best wishes on your next build.
