Project Information
Here are my first 6 attempts at the cheese slicing boards. woods used were mainly Maple and Walnut , with some Cherry, Purpleheart and Hickory.
I came up with a good way (at least for me ) to make the cuts for the hardware. I used the sliding miter saw, with an
3/4" x 3/4" square stock placed in front of other spacer and set the back of the board on top of the 3/4" x 3/4" piece to tilt the board. I set the depth stop on my saw to get just deep enough to get past the hole drilled in it, so I could get the wire on it, and just a small kerf in front. Once set up, just one cut and your done, and you don't have to cut the back of the board out. The only thing is I probably should have used a thinner blade, but you learn as you go.
Thanks for looking, Scott
