Project Information

This is an 18th Century Style Dressing Table. This was built using the same tools, techniques and finish that would have been used in the Year 1750. That means NO power tools, sandpaper or Polyurethane. It does mean hand planes, scrapers and home made varnish topped with Beeswax. Oh, and 298 hours to complete.

Very good craftsmanship, well executed build. Like the shell carving, all details are very nice, especially the legs.
Thanks for showing his future antique.

Wow! So if the power ever goes out in the whole world, at least we know we'll have some folks that will still be able to build beautiful furniture :)

Very nice.
I like your determination however if they had power tools and electricity in the olden days, you can bet your butt the craftsmen of old would have used them too.

Fantastic table. The Dressing table is a type of furniture that has been used for many years and is still gaining popularity as time passes. When choosing one, it is very important to select the design according to your bedroom decor and one which provides you a fair amount of usage. One thing that should always be remembered is that the table is especially designed to make your bedroom look beautiful and you must carefully examine it before buying one.
