I have been manufacturing spiral cutteheads for wood planers and jointers since 2007. I have some experience in retrofitting wood machines. Hope I can be helpful to woodworkers in this community.

Where are the heads manufactured? Are the cutters 90 degrees to the fence, or at a different angle?

The heads are manufactured at our own facility in China. We have two type helical cutterhead. One is straight edge, 90 degree to each other. The other is curved edge at radius of 150mm. So the first type, the working edge is 90 degrees to the fence. The second type, the working edge is at a angle to the fence.
