I am looking for someone to make me a tree of life, for the footboard of an antique bed. The bed belonged to my parents in the 1940's and the ornament on the footboard is gone. The tree of life needs to be a about 10 to 12 inches tall. It can even be in the form of a circle if that is easier. It just can't be really thick. - Cheryl Irwin

Hello Scroll, I am not much into scroll saw work but I picked this one up locally on the cheap. I know almost nothing about them. What can you tell me about this one.

Thanks, Todd! I'm new to woodworking and am looking into luthiery as a specialty but can't wait to learn all I can.

    Hi Scrollsaw,

I got your welcome comment on my home page - I didn't know how to respond so I am responding by commenting on your page. I'm looking forward to learning from my fellow woodworkers (I'm not really a woodworker yet…).

    thanks again!

    Todd,
You are in "Roll the Dice" area, nice projects more of an art. I have worked with my scroll saw a little, I do like it, however I tend to hold my breath waiting for the blade to brake or pass out, if my doctor new how fast my heart was beating he would tell me to quite. I do need practice and I have a lot of respect for your work.

    Thanks for sharing, Ron
