Thanks! I'm in the decision stages in building my workshop / buying tools and it gets overwhelming at times b/c I don't know what to "buy next" and "what way is best for my situation" with my sq. footage i have. My last purchase was the Ridgid 6" Jointer I got off of Criagslist for a great deal, I know I need a router/table but I really want to wait till I get the INCRA TS-LS combo w/ router extension, but in the meantime I've considered buying the Dewalt DW618 combo and us it now. Any advice to my future purchases would be awesome! thanks again!

Well, another year has rolled by. It must have been a really fun year because it seems like yesterday when I congratulated you on being a LJ for 2 years. Congratulations on your 3rd anniversary at Lumber Jocks. Thanks for helping make LJ a great place to visit and happy anniversary!

BTW: WI has a new Governor who is talking about all sorts of crazy things to do to state employees to balance the budget. He may make my mind up about retiring.

    Hi Scott,
Thank you for your kind words. I am still trying to figure out how to put some pictures in my job gallery once I figure it out I will add more. Thank you.

Scott, thanks once again for sharing your valuable insights and knowledge with me here on LJ in my baby steps in woodworking. I appreciate your suggestions re clamps and the workbench.

BTw,I noticed in your profile you worked as a chemist. That happens to be another hobby of mine. Right now I'm trying to make a wooden test-tube rack. My plan is to have my future workbench double as my lab bench when not occupied with a woodworking project (I'd lay down a towel). I need to find a place to store my tools (on wall maybe) as the cabinets in the garage is where I keep my glassware.

Thanks for the warm welcome!! I've been looking around here for a couple of weeks, and I gotta say, I'm very humbled by the craftsmanship I see around here. I can tell there will be lots of new things for me to learn.
