Sandings suggestions - 9 replies

I have been using 60 and 80 grit Diablo 5” sanding disks for finishing end grain cutting boards.Then I go to 120, 180 and finally 220.The 60 and 80 grit Diablo don’t seem to hold up very well.Any suggestions on a better longer lasting pad??

Freud Table Saw blade not 10 inches - 40 replies

Just wondering if anyone noticed that the Freud table saw blades are not actually 10”!I have 3 Freud blades and all are 9.75”, not 10” All my other blades I have all measure 10” I even have a few old Craftsman blades that are at least 15 years old and they are 10” as well.Is this normal for Freud?

HELP in Using mineral oil for cutting boards - 8 replies

I was just wondering if it is better to just soak a board in mineral oil for a few min or apply the oil over a 3-4 day period and then coat with the oil and beeswax. I have been applying the oil over a 3 day period and then give it a oil and wax coating for the last 2 days. So it has lots of oil and wax on the board Am I doing it correctly...

Buying Performax 22/44 plus sander - 4 replies

I am looking at buying one of these used This one does have the sand smart and looks to be in good shape. Getting zapped when running my planer - 6 replies

I have a Rockler flex hose connected to my dust collector.Every time I have it hooked to my planer, I get zapped. How do I hook up a ground on the flex hose? I called Rockler and they have no idea.Any help would be appreciated.
