A cosmetic touch up to rectify the problem

A small mistake has been made when gluing 2 pieces of bench top together while they are still not so dry. As a result both pieces of glued wood then warped a little leaving a 2-4 mm gap.

Thanks Glen,

The wood I used for constructing the bench is of tropical hard wood (Shorea Dipterocarpaceae or Kayu Meranti, so that’s what they name it here in Malaysia). Bench legs and stretchers has been coated with linseed oil for some time so it looks pretty darn good. I’ve just coated the bench top couple days ago, it’ll need some time for the oil to settle.
