Thanks all,

I’ve lurked here for a short while. I am re-trying my hand at woodworking after many years. Now that I have the means, I hope to get off on a good foot. My first project is to build a modest (but sturdy) bench. I have the 3 major workbench books (along with several other WW books) and just obtained a good set of (pre-WWII) Stanley planes that will require a bit of tuning.

The projects and info displayed on this site, as well as the awesome community, are inspiring. I haven’t even got started and I am hooked!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
