    Thanks for the welcome Bill

The big problem I have now is wood storage. I have two racks on my shop wall that are full. I have 900+ ft of Cedar
in the back of the house Pine in one pile Walnut and Alder in another and Cherry in the kiln.
I am thinking about adding a shed to the side of my barn.

On a rescue call this morning, 14 year old boy tried to do himself in. After 13 Mo in Nam as a combat medic I can't understand why anyone would kill them self.

Welcome aboard Richard. I'm just south of St Louis. I've been a firefighter at my department for almost 28 years. 5 years as a volunteer and 23 fulltime. I have Woodmizer and love to mill my own wood. I also sell a fair bit and want to sell more. I have to build a kiln first.

Your shop sounds like a huge space, wish I had that.

After fifty years I have found the best finish for kitchen cabinets.

Our home has two custom kitchens. The first one is birch and sprayed with five coats of cat lacquer. In the sink area the finish did not hold up so well after five years. After we finished our home I built a knotty Alder kitchen with 30 drawers. I had some of the Minwax Ultimate floor finish left over from our pine floor. I brushed on three coats and it looks great. Since then I have sprayed many projects and it takes only two coats for a nice finish. I have built over 300 custom kitchens over the years.

Our new kitchen has 28" deep base cabinets and 15" deep uppers. My wife came up with that one and she is real happy with her kitchen, (happy wife happy life)
