Boys and Girls, The question was voice (in text), so I thought I’d do a review (my opinion) on these Rockler Auto-Lock T-Track Hold Down Clamp (herewith referred to as Rockler clamp). While I have given them 5 stars, I would probably only rate them as 3 without my modifications. The gallery pictures show the clamp holding one to three 19mm separate pieces on the same tension setting. In all fairness, the pressure on the 3 pieces is less than that on the one, however, is still suffic...

rockler router pad leaves "residue marks"

rockler router pad leaves "residue marks"

As you can see in the images the pad leaves “residue marks” (for lack of a better term) on wood. I had to go back down to 120 grit and resand to remove the marks. The mat holds the wood but what good is it if it marks the wood.Wish I could give 0 stars but can’t. Back to the carpet pad.

Worthless (at least for me)

Worthless (at least for me)

I bought this adapter set in hopes of connecting at lease SOME of my small power tools to my 2 1/2” shop vac but it doesn’t fit anything and the hose is far too heavy to be useful. I have got to quit buying stuff from Rocker as I have never found anything that I am satisfied with when buying their brands. Just another disappointing waste of money. Why can’t too makers coup with a standard size?

Casters work ok, but better with add ons

Casters work ok, but better with add ons

Hi everyone, Some of you might have seen one of my latest builds, A butcher block top assembly table etc. Like most everything else in my shop, I wanted it mobile. This caster set was on sale, so I ordered it. A lot of reviews said it was possible for the wheel to get caught partially under the bench leg if mounted were the instructions said to. Also, raising them one at a time could cause stress on them ( one review said the caster broke doing this, too much weight on one caster). Many use...

Rockler Silicone Mat

Rockler Silicone Mat

11-08-2019 12:10 AM by Brit | 13 comments »

I’m sure many of you already have and use a silicone mat in your shop, but just in case there are still some die hards chasing their sharpening stones across their bench or scraping glue from places it has no right to be, I would highly recommend this product sold by Rockler. Althugh you can pick up silicone mats pretty easily, this is a very good product and for me the dimensions (15” x 30” x 1/8” thick) suited the space where I wanted to put it. Rockler also make ...

Another Rockler Innovation with sub-par product execution

Another Rockler Innovation with sub-par product execution

Have owned one Rockler All-Terrain moble base for almost two years, and couple months ago bought another to replace mobile base that shredded it wheels. Felt it was time to share my findings in a review. DESIGN: (4 of 5 stars) This ‘All-Terrain’ mobile base is only base that offers 5” wheels available for retail sale. It also has the highest ground clearance of any base I have tried in market (and I have tried most of them). Here is comparison picture with Portamat...

Afordable floating tenon with the Rockler Beadlock system.

Been using Dowels for a while and wanted to try another system. Was debating on getting the Pro system but wanted to test out the smaller one 1st. Tested it out on a small project 1st(Picture Frame) and I have to say I really like it so far. Having the Kreg clamp is really helpful for speeding things up. One suggestion I would tell anyone if they want to get one it to use a red pencil. Its so much easier to see the lines when you are marking your pieces. I also think on some projects it may b...

Rockler Fence Flip Stop Does Not Work

Rockler Fence Flip Stop Does Not Work

01-21-2019 10:08 PM by CaptainKlutz | 12 comments »

Summary: This flip stop is not accurate or repeatable, purchase not recommended. It only earns 1 star, due fact that you can still use it a little (and forums won’t let me use zero star). You can tighten the flip stop bolt snug and at least use it as fixed stop that doesn’t flip – you have to remove it when you don’t want to use it. :-( Bought the #53648 Rockler Drill Press Fence awhile back, and it came with this flip stop. I almost never use the flip stop on d...

4" PVC Pipe to 4" Dust Collection Hose

4" PVC Pipe to 4" Dust Collection Hose

04-01-2018 03:11 PM by copythat | 12 comments »

I made my own inexpensive dust collection system using 4” PVC sewer pipe and fittings from Lowe’s. The parts were a fraction of the cost of true dust collection ducting and fittings. The one issue I had was that the diameter of the sewer pipe I used was too narrow to get a nice fit for the flexible drop down dust hose. To solve the problem, I invested in Dust Right transitions and they fit perfectly. Although pricey at $15 each, I thought they were money well spent.

Noteworthy parts used on my INCRA router table cabinet . . .

Noteworthy parts used on my INCRA router table cabinet . . .

I used Rockler’s 4” and 2-1/2” Keyed Bridge Hose Clamps on my router table cabinet and they are fantastic. They sit in the spiral of the hose with no awkward positioning over the wire that spirals through the hose. They are a great improvement over standard hose clamps. The 4” can be found here: http://www.rockler.com/4-keyed-bridge-hose-clampsThe 2-1/2” can be found here: http://www.rockler.com/2-1-2-keyed-bridge-hose-clamps I also used Rockler’s...
