Rockler Router Table Dust Bucket

Rockler Router Table Dust Bucket

05-01-2021 01:09 PM by DaveM123 | 4 comments »

I happened to see this product after I had done a bunch of routing and had sawdust and chips everywhere. Even though I had my dust collector hooked up to the router table fence it wasn’t terribly effective. I took a look at this and thought about making one but honestly between cost and time this proved out to be worth it. Assembly was straightforward and easy with everything lining up perfectly. Attaching it to my Rockler Router Table was relatively easy and my Bosch 1617 fit with no i...

Rockler Slip Knobs

Rockler Slip Knobs

Boys and Girls, If you happen to be one of the bunnies that use long threaded rods in your workshop for jigs and outfitting, and don’t want to whittle away your time endlessly threading rods, you may find this item interesting. If you know about these knobs then it’s probably ho-hum, if you didn’t know about them, now you do, and if you thought they were a load of crap, they’ll still stay a load of crap to you. These are retailed by Rockler who call them quick release knobs, but what...

Support stand

Support stand

My daughter saw me looking at this stand at Rockler and purchased it for my birthday. I have a very small shop and don’t have room for a permanent outfeed table for my table saw or bandsaw. This stand is great, it’s heavy enough not to tip over, the 3 row’s of bearings support the work well and you don’t have to worry about it pulling your work into the blade like those with only a single roller. When i’m finished I fold the top and store it away. I don’t ...

Rockler Cross Lap Jig

Rockler Cross Lap Jig

06-09-2020 10:25 PM by gtrgeo | 7 comments »

I used this jig to create an egg crate style return air grill (project here) and it worked flawlessly. I have used shop made jigs in the past for box joints but the adjustable fingers on this jig intrigued me. I have never used the Incra I-Box jig but they look to operate similarly. Contents:The jig comes in a sturdy box and is packaged well with a block of Styrofoam included to prevent shifting of contents. The parts are in two separate bags. The wood components in one bag and the adjusta...

I thought this might make a good gift, so I decided to find out. I made a quick and simple box using up scraps of 1/2” baltic birch plywood. The box is rabbet/dado joints, the back is just butt joint and glue, the front is screwed on so I can get back inside the box if necessary. The only part that could be better is unhooking the speakers from the control unit. I was very careful. The blue connector came off completely and the red and white connectors left half of the plastic...

Rockler ho'-downs.

Rockler ho'-downs.

Boys and Girls, The question was voice (in text), so I thought I’d do a review (my opinion) on these Rockler Auto-Lock T-Track Hold Down Clamp (herewith referred to as Rockler clamp). While I have given them 5 stars, I would probably only rate them as 3 without my modifications. The gallery pictures show the clamp holding one to three 19mm separate pieces on the same tension setting. In all fairness, the pressure on the 3 pieces is less than that on the one, however, is still suffic...

rockler router pad leaves "residue marks"

rockler router pad leaves "residue marks"

As you can see in the images the pad leaves “residue marks” (for lack of a better term) on wood. I had to go back down to 120 grit and resand to remove the marks. The mat holds the wood but what good is it if it marks the wood.Wish I could give 0 stars but can’t. Back to the carpet pad.

Worthless (at least for me)

Worthless (at least for me)

I bought this adapter set in hopes of connecting at lease SOME of my small power tools to my 2 1/2” shop vac but it doesn’t fit anything and the hose is far too heavy to be useful. I have got to quit buying stuff from Rocker as I have never found anything that I am satisfied with when buying their brands. Just another disappointing waste of money. Why can’t too makers coup with a standard size?

Casters work ok, but better with add ons

Casters work ok, but better with add ons

11-11-2019 10:27 AM by jbmaine | 7 comments »

Hi everyone, Some of you might have seen one of my latest builds, A butcher block top assembly table etc. Like most everything else in my shop, I wanted it mobile. This caster set was on sale, so I ordered it. A lot of reviews said it was possible for the wheel to get caught partially under the bench leg if mounted were the instructions said to. Also, raising them one at a time could cause stress on them ( one review said the caster broke doing this, too much weight on one caster). Many use...
