This is my first review so go easy on me.. I was at my local sears store just looking around and i saw this bosch driver tucked away on a bottom shelf. It had a big factory reconditioned sticker on it. the battery was charged so so i gave it a try. sounded like it had a lot of torque and it worked great, looked great. sold! half the price of a new one. six months later now. i have drove over one thousand screws with this driver. the only thing that has happened to it is the the swi...

I’ve owned this router for two or three years and I’ve been very happy with its performance. The controls are easy to use, offers ample power, and there are several accessories available should you need additional features (template guides, straight edge guide, etc.) Plunging the router is simple, and the depth gauge is awesome. The variable speed motor runs well and offers soft start after you pull the trigger (in other words, it goes from zero to 100 gradually, not zero to...

Just picked up my new Bosch 18v Litheon yesterday morning ($239 can) for an install i had to do. I wasnt confident that my Dewalt would make it through the job and didnt want to be stuck without. This is the second Bosch drill ive had and now i wont use anything else. This drill is very light for an 18v which im sure mostly has to do with the lo-pro litheon battery packs it uses. i found myself check the case befor i left to make sure the drill was actually in there because it was so light co...

Bosch GEX 125 AC random orbital sander

Bosch GEX 125 AC random orbital sander

05-30-2010 03:21 PM by Greedo | 9 comments »

i bought this sander over 2 months ago almost by coincidence, before that i actually did most of my sanding with a corded drill and a sanding pad mounted to it! so i got tired of that and wanted something proper.after using some orbital and random orbital festool sanders in woodworking class i fell in love with them! so one day i had enough and i went to a tool store with the idea of buying a festool sander, even if i knew they were outrageously expensive. i came to the shop and 3/4th of the ...

My new bosch PS20 pocket driver

My new bosch PS20 pocket driver

This is a tool I picked up 2 weeks ago after my 18V power driver would not charge anymore.I originally set to buy a Dewalt from Lowes but ended up buying the Bosch PS20. While shopping there, I noticed they had the smaller footprint driver I have seen in many magazines. As an owner of other Bosch tools I decided to grab the Bosch PS20. Using it last week during assembly of one of my project was a delight. I liked it so much I decided to share a good tool with the LJ community. The packa...

can't do without, but could be better

i saw this one being sold in a “dual pack” along with the GSR 10,8 drill driver for an interesting price where you basically get the GSR almost for free, but with only 2 batteries for both. (those are the european names)and yesterday i had my first “on site job” and i simply could not have done the job without this tool as i had to remove screws from inside tight boxes. it comes in a soft mallet with 2 bits wich i thought was another gadget i would never use, but it...

Santa brought a New Bosch GCM12sd miter saw

Santa brought a New Bosch GCM12sd miter saw

My old Delta chopsaw has served me well for a number of years, but many recent projects hungered for a better way to cut compoundangles with a larger crosscutting capacity. Santa brought a new saw for me this Christmas. Its a Bosch GCM12sd, which is one very large saw, compared to the Delta chopsaw. This thing is amazing. The slide mechanism is a bit of engineering marvel if you ask me.The “articulating” arm, as they call it, moves effortlessly across the bed of the sawwith a o...

The new Bosch GCM12SD Miter Saw with articulating nuckles and no rails

I was at the New England Woodworking Show last week not really looking for anything in particular when I happened on the new Bosch Miter Saw. I had looked at the Festool… too expensive and I hate that your blades are limited by the size of the arbor & that Festool wants you to buy their blades. I started really looking at the Bosch and the price was so good ($694 show price) that I ended up ordering one the next day. It came on Wednesday but I didn’t have time to do anythin...

Big improvement ends being PURE GARBAGE!!!

Big improvement ends being PURE GARBAGE!!!

I’ve purchased this saw ‘cause I owned the past model. It was supposed to be a big improvement. Surprise!!!, the main table was broken at the back, right where the Allen screw holds the saw’s main axle!!!. I’ve sent it to the service center and they kindly replaced the table at no cost…’cause the saw was under warranty still. I’ve seen the saw had a problem. It wouldn’t stay vertical, I mean it wasn’t cross cutting vertical, there was at l...

Poor quality control

I received a Bosch Gcm12sd dual bevel glide miter saw from my lovely wife for Christmas 2011 so its about 2 months old. Up until now i’ve only used it in the “chop saw” mode with narrow materials. Recently I tried to crosscut a 1” x 12” an realized there is a problem that cant be adjusted. The blade is not parallell with the arm that moves it. As I complete a cut through a 12” board the trailing end of the blade is cutting an additional 32nd off the left ...
