I had the need to hollow out one side of some small cherry boards so they would fit nicely over a curved frame for a box lid. See my “cherry box for motorcycle” project. I bought the Garlick cabinet scrapers at my local woodworking store. They are ready to work right out of the package, and I was astounded by the piles of wood curls I was producing. No dust. Haven’t tried sharpening them, yet.

Scrapers are a very handy tool when the need calls. On stewmac.com, a guitar building site, has some extra thick ones that are great to use on other projects as well.
