I love wood. That's a good start. I'm no master builder, but I've made a few things that aren't gonna fall down in my lifetime. I live in a log cabin that is a piece of art, built primarily by one man from 1971-1974. Now he was a master, and there's not a whole lot on my property that wasn't literally hand hewn from logs. I will post a few pictures if anyone cares, but it's srill all about the wood. Up here we pay 5 bucks to go up the mountain and get our own firewood, and that's probably where our respect of wood starts, but it goes a long way further and deeper than that. There are lots of very talented people making amazing furniture in this valley, but I'm more along the lines of a sculptor in my approach, taking the shapes that are already there and just revealing them a little more. I'm here to learn, because I'm certainly not at the level or skill to teach anyone much. Just glad to listen.
