Anthony, you might be able to find assistance through a local woodworking guild. I found this one in Akron that has a hand plane session scheduled in September. HTH

The boys over at the hand plane thread would be willing to help out as well.

Perfecting your sharpening skills takes time and patience though. And probably some wasted money … until ya find what works for you. Everyones a lil different when it comes to sharpening.

The sharpening part you can learn on your own different methods to do it and big price range.
