A few hours away. That’s a long boring drive and I would have 3 kids in the car for the ride. I’ve been watching Craigslist for a few months and haven’t seen anything really worth the drive come through. Even checking Dallas area every once in a while. -- Phillip- Measure twice, cut onc.... Hey look, it's rustic. |

Just a little side note, I lived in Muskogee for a couple years before I moved to Alaska. That would be 1969 -- Alaskan's for Global warming! |

Of the ones you mentioned, the Rikon meets more of what you are looking for. Steel frame with more resale capacity and plenty of power. That’s a pretty good deal on the old Delta/Rockwell too that MrUnix posted. -- Grayson - South Carolina |

Have the 24in Rikon for about 7yr. Use primarily for resawing. So much so, that I recently bought the smaller brother Rikon 10in and just love them both to death. -- HorizontalMike -- "Woodpeckers understand..." |

Fine woodworking did a tool test back in 2014 on 14 inch saws. Best value was the Steel City 50155G for 700 That being said I have a 14 inch Delta That shows up damn near everywhere for years in articles and videos was pretty much the the staple for a decent 14 inch saw for years without going powermatic or laguna for more money. I got mine on CL for about 275, cleaned it up a bit and it works like a champ for everything I’ve done with it. Lots of cast iron, easy to get parts and blades/upgrades. Haven’t resawed anything with it though if that’s a must. Here’s the text from the table if you can decipher it. not sure if i can get into trouble for posting the pdf or not. You can get the idea though. Keep in mind most stuff I cut is straight and I’ve usaully dusting the ends up on the disk sander to exact dimensions/square/miter angles anyway.
