Thanks Jim for your comments. I am also one of the early birds and have learned a lot in wood working all these years. Your contribution to LJ is great. I am sure you will continue to share your knowledge in the future for all of us. I am now 82 but keeping good health and do meddle with wood working as per my capacity. Wishing you sound health and long life.

It’s a long and winding road. Just checked and I’m 8 days from 7 years. Congratulations!

Thanks sharad as the day count shows you were here before me and there are a good number of others that were here since the very beginning, thanks for your contribution to LJs.I’m sure your “meddling with wood” still produces great results.

Thanks Monte
I try to maintain my cool even when I get heat from some a couple of the folks but I don’t think I’m any more of a decent guy than you. I’ve always enjoyed your work and great design sense and I know many others have too , making you an outstanding role model.

Congratulations Jim, now I have to look at my time. :)

You are a great asset to LJ’s Jim very helpful. I have to hand it to LJ for a lot of the knowledge I’ve gained since I’ve joined.

Thanks to you all for the very kind comments.

There are a good number of folks that have been here quite a bit longer than me like Max, Karson, Scott Bryan, Grumpy, CharlieM1958, WanyeC, Loren, Lew, Charles Neil and many more. These super people are the reason I joined along LJs, along with those now in the in memoriam section of Jocks, folks Like amazing GaryM\K, Jockmike2, woodbutcher and others.

Although not here longer than me I miss my great buddies Grizzman, Rogerclark aka Rex, Dallas, and others also in the in memoriam area of Jocks

Congratulations on your anniversary. There have been some real ringers on this site and they have opted to leave. There are others that have been here to the end. And we shall miss them.

It’s great to see some of the old pals still active. I hope to start getting active soon. After this move is completed. It looks like we have some interested buyers on my home in Delaware and I can finally stay in VA. I’m here now doing some homework on our hot tub room. Hoping to get it insulated and waterproofed. So then my wife will be happy to get her hot tub moved and setup.

It will be nice to finally get to live with her together again. We swap houses every couple of weeks. And this has been going on for 2 years.

Praise the lord for good health.

My day is May 9, 2006

Jim we bought a home two years ago. but it took over a year to move the workshop. Had to build a building first.

Then I sold it to my daughter and her family bcause it had 19 Acres and they wanted to farm. So we bought another home 2 miles down the road from them. Same street. Ours has 5 Acres and a newer home than the other 1910 build date.So it’ll all come together soon.

Of course all my tools and lumber are at the wrong house. So I will set up a rough workshop there and a finish workshop at the new home. In my air conditioned basement.

Thanks, Cricket but I’m just part of the gang, last time I tried walking on water I saw a whole lot of fish trying to swim in one ear and out the other, the scary thing is I think a couple of them made it through :)
