1960s I think but the base doesn’t look like
any Delta jointer base I remember seeing.

Appears to be missing a handwheel.

Can’t really tell from the picture if that is a “Delta/Milwaukee” or a “Delta/Rockwell” badge… the former was used from around ~1954 to ~1966, while the later was used from ~1966 to ~1977, so there is your range. You can narrow it down to a specific year if you get the serial number.

Cheers,
Brad

Very odd fence system. Looks interesting though. How much does he want for it?

Craigslist price at $275. The location isn’t convenient for me to go take a look at it unless I was truly serious.

Here is the listing if you want a look: LINK

Doesn’t look “ready to work” to me. My guess is a Delta model 37-220. But for $275, I’d keep looking.

Thanks Ripper, that is the one.

After a search of that model number, it looks like there are some parts missing to it. Sometimes I get a feel for the way somebody takes care of their equipment by what the rest of the shop looks like (as seen in photo).

Thanks again all, I think I’ll take a pass.

http://www.normanmachinetool.com/used_product_desc.php?pid=1612

At $275, I think I would keep looking too.
The one on the norman machine site is 3 phase too.

Oh it’s only 6”? Forget it and move on. I thought it was 8”.

$275 for a ~70 year old, cruddy shape, missing parts jointer… Sigh.

Looks similar to another one locally that they listed for $125.
