There are many alternatives. I bet that most woodshop folks do not have that device.

I got the Woodpecker email about it, because I signed up directly with them. I deleted that email, as I saw that adjustable square as possibly finicky, and too pricey for me to test it out, for any purpose I can think of.

Still, if you have the money and it looks like fun to have and use, then get that order placed – now!
I do own a few items from Woodpeckers, so I do “get it”.

... alternatives?

How about a $4 plastic speed square and a $5 protractor? Then spend the other $91 on whatever.

I think Woodpeckers gets hard-pressed for ideas sometimes for their one-time tools. I honestly can’t see the value of that tool at that price. Some of them are pretty cool, but some are ridiculous.

I got one of these on sale at Woodcraft, but even the full price is really cheap. Works great.

I have a protractor head combination square that I picked up used for 5 bucks, It works great.
new will cost a bit more https://www.mscdirect.com/product/details/64004765

A t-bevel and a protractor will work fine too.
