Question about a slider and ripping lumber...

You can lock the sliding carriage in position and
use the machine more or less like a regular
table saw. Because the slider face is generally
aluminum magnetic accessories don’t work
though.

A bundle of plywood. In 3/4” there is 52-53 sheets.

checkout the parallel fences from www.lambtoolworks.com, they are fantastic for repetitive, high accuracy rip cuts, I use them on my Felder CF 741 S sliding table all the time.
