I have that same model saw but have the beisimeyer fence I like it a lot. The vega looks to be almost the same minus it used round tube instead of square tube. It’s been a good saw I hope you like it. If it has the miter gauge with the aluminum piece on it check the aluminum for being flat. Mine was flat on one side and the other had a bump in the center causing pieces to rock and unsquare cuts.

A few pics of what i’ve got & the end after rust removal, wing leveling & waxing.

The blade insert is warped & cracked – any idea where I should look for new ones? I’m still looking at the VegaPro fence system for it. Seems to run fine & vibration free – not bad for $150.

Good score on the saw. And welcome to lumberjocks.

The insert looks like a standard design. I made a half dozen from some scrap hardwood flooring. They are practically indestructible. Rough them to size on a bandsaw and sand them to a tight fit. Get some short allen head set screws to adjust the height. Also, glue a short tab underneath the front to keep it from lifting out. Raise the blade through it and you have a perfect zero clearance insert.
