I recently purchased a plane very similar to this with no iron. Any idea on where to find an iron? My plane was a Casey and Company, which later became Auburn Tool. From what I’ve found it is circa 1857. The wedge is identical to the one in the photo and measures almost 2-5/8 wide. The gap appears to require a blade/cap of about 3/8” thick.

They don’t make those tapered irons anymore, so you are pretty much stuck on getting them from the usual sources for used tools, eBay, Garage Sales, Estate Sales, Flea Markets, etc.
This plane is still for sale, the body is pretty cracked, but the iron should clean up well, make me an offer if you want just the iron.
