Is the crack in the cap? I would (with rubber gloves) work some epoxy in the crack then clamp while drying.

Not sure on the screw, 6-32 or 8-32? You could take it with you the the Hardware store to find one that fits.

I suggest you check out, WK fine tools.com He’s got quite a section about restoring Miller Falls hand drills.
