What information are you seeking? I had a PSI DC-250 (predecessor to the DC2, I think) for many years. I replaced both bags when i broke that clear window on the lower bag while cleaning. The OEM bags were 5 micron, really inadequate for good filtration anyway, so I went to AFF had an upper oversized bag made that was less than 1 micron filtration. I then just put a plastic bag inside the lower one to catch the dust. But if i was doing it over I would go with a canister filter from Wynn industries, and still use the lower bag with a plastic liner. PSI’s DC business must have really went down the tubes in recent years, they have cut back on most all the stuff they sell.

I was hoping to find a website that told me exactly what filter would fit this dust collector. I know I can take it all apart and measure, however that will make a huge mess and it will be easier if I could just find the specs. I’ve been reading about canisters and I noticed some guys went back to the bags because the canisters plugged up too easily. Now they make canisters with the flapper inside to knock off the fine dust. I also noticed I get a lot of leakage where the bags are attached to the middle ring, I have the metal bands with a spring on them for attaching the bags and they don’t seem to seal perfectly. I have to figure something out, there is just too much fine dust floating around.

I think you might have to pull it apart and call Oneida or Wynn. They are usually matched by diameter of the metal rim where the upper bag attaches.

It’s true, a single stage collector will clog quicker with a fine pleated filter. However if you clean it, it will work, and filter the fine dust. I have the PSI Tempest cyclone which has a huge pleated filter. The two stage filtration keeps the filter clean much longer. I like Penn State collectors, too bad they aren’t sold anymore.

A 2hp collector is big enough to handle a separator, which would help keep the filter clean.

Well, if you’re looking for a turn key conversion it may be a long search. Wynn is the place to start, but I’d bet you’ll be making some baffles or such to make everything fit. that’s just life with DC systems.
