flat plane till question

I have something similar, but is angled from the wall so that the planes won’t fall out. But I still use small spring clamps to be sure they stay there. I shoulda used a bit more of an angle.

Install a shelf, just about the same size as the 78. Notch the side, to allow the fence to hang down. Maybe a magnet in the shelf?

I used 3/8” dowels and chopsticks to keep everything flat against the wall. Works for me and I can store more items.

The left side will hold chisels and I may incorporate a saw till in there as well.
