You’re doing it right. If you weren’t building it in place, then three separate cabinets would make sense, but for what you have, a single unit will be easier and come out better. Just be sure to keep everything square as you go along.

What’s your plan to attach the face frame?

BTW, I really like the abstract erotic art on the wall. It looks Peruvian, am I correct?

I think the mirror installer was going for a modern Jackson Pollock look with the mastic. Too bad he only had black.

As for attaching the FF, I’ll probably cut pocket holes into the sides, and screw/glue the face frame on. I get nervous nailing into oak (splitting), and I don’t want nail holes to show. I should be able to reach into the carcass with my drill and drive the pocket screws.

I thought about biscuits, but I think it would be too hard to line-up. But if you can think of a different another way, I’m all ears.

Actually, now that I look at it, I guess one could see some eroticism in the shapes – if they were of such a mind :)
