Mounting workbench casters to supports - help?

My suggestion would be to add some material to the skirt so that it would fill the recess.

Then you could add a plywood plate attached too both the cabinet side and the filler. That would give you a good surface to attach the wheels.

The plate might not be necessary if the screws have a good place to be screwed into.

Then you could attach the workbench wheels to the plywood.

When I assembled my store-bought workbench, it wasn’t tall enough. I simply enough pieces of scrap wood to the base with screws to make it taller.

Thanks guys :) I thought on it a bit more and combined your suggestions :D cut a ledge out of the 4×4 to fit the skirt and add 2 in to the bottom. Only have one done though since I hand sawed it!
