Those over-arm things are blade guards, not dust collectors (although the Excalibur does incorporate that as well). All overarm guards use a separate splitter mounted on the saw, replacing the splitter/guard that normally comes with them. You have the remains of the Biesemeyer splitter and just need to fabricate the metal blade that fits into it – a couple dollars expense at most, and a little time to make. If you are looking at ease of use, you can’t beat the Delta disappearing splitter though (~$65 at Amazon) – never needs to be removed and operated with a single finger.
