That machine was actually made by Invicta in Brazil under license from Delta. From what I’ve heard from others who owned one, It’s a bit of an orphan machine that competed with the Unisaw, which is why not many were purchased… most people either went with the well known Unisaw, or if they wanted bigger, they opted for the RT-40. AFAIK, it uses 10” blades, but can be made to use a 12” one. It also has a rather unusual 20mm arbor size. If it’s missing any parts (other than the normal consumables), finding replacements might be quite a chore.

I recently purchased a new Dewalt DWE7491RS table saw and I’m being offered a Delta RT31 as a straight up trade from someone I know looking to get rid of his saw. Does this seem like something I should consider? I don’t know much about the Delta.

I really like my new Dewalt, but I see several of these RT31’s selling on Kijiji for much more than I paid for the Dewalt so I’m not sure if it’s worth considering. I have room in my shop for this saw and I have a 220V connection so it is possible without too much work.

Have your say...
