I would sell you mine if you were to also to buy the rest of the jointer. I am selling mine because I bought a 12 inch combo machine. It was a great little machine which served me well for a long time.

Yea I really like it, going to visit some metal shops this week and see if I Can get the guard and the pin fixed, just not in a position to get a newer one.

I have the same jointer, older grey color Ridgid, they are top heavy and can easily tip over, if you can fix the pin, then do so because I doubt very much you can find any parts for it in the used market,the crack can be fixed with some JB weld.
If nothing can be done to fix it, I’ve seen a couple of shop made ones,can’t be too difficult to make one yourself, it beats using the jointer without a guard.

I was going to send a private message about the ridgid hand guard- but I can’t send PM until I have “five points”. I need one too- I was wondering if you found one Tindjin? If you found 2- I need one. Thanks!
