When can I finish the bottom of a giant slab?

If you’re that scared, wait another day with a fan on it, then flip it over with a blanket on it. It can be dry for practical purposes even if its still curing.

I always finish the bottom first because I’m paranoid about thus as well. I agree with the blanket trick. Have used it before. Use one you don’t care about because it is bound to get drips of finish on it.

Thanks for the replies. I’m mostly gun-shy because the indentations these pyramids left earlier since the top is so heavy. Then after another piece was finished I used the rubber pads themselves but they left a crosshatch pattern in the finish.
