Maybe a Midi Lathe with an extension. That’s what I have. Works great.

Be careful with who you give a bat to. I made a little short toy one for a buddy’s son. First thing he did with was swat his sister in the head. Not good. I haven’t made one since. I made some wooden spatulas and gave one to a favorite niece. She swats her kids with it.

You can make an extension from wood, google “wooden lathe extension”

25 years ago I bought that lager Harbor Freight lathe to make base ball bats. Worked well for me. I still have the lathe but seldom use it.
