It’s probably 45-60 mins from you depending on traffic but you need to go down to West Penn Hardwoods in Conover, NC. This place is unreal. They sale every species you can think of by the thousands of board feet. They also have an entire wharehouse dedicated to turning stock. Literally, not many places like this in the country from what I’ve heard. I live about 45 mins from there toward Charlotte and I don’t even consider going anywhere else now. Prices seem to be around the national average. For 4/4 Ash 2.50 pbf, Cherry 4-5 pbf, Walnut 8$ pbf, Maple 3$, Curly Maple 5$, Aferican mahogany 5$, etc. They specialize in exotics, slabs, burls, etc. Obviously the price goes up on that stuff.
