The Top 15 have been gone for a few days now, I believe they are working on it, and it is not a permanent plan. I miss them as well!

This was a message that I got from MsDebbieP

fixing an issue, the Top 15 had to be suspended.
Not sure if it is temporary or not.

Sorry I can’t be of more help

So they are aware of it.

That’s good to know. I wasn’t sure if I messed up my settings, or something. I hope they get the page and the Top 15 up and running again.

Not only the top 15, I get none of the “new projects”

I know I lost out on one Daily Top 3. My latest project is two days old, got almost 1200 views and over 25 tags, along with 18 comments. Oh well… can’t win em’ all. Technology, gotta love it!

You’d thing that the admins would at least post a sticky telling us what’s going on instead of leaving us in the dark wondering

Surprised they have gone this long without restoring it. Frankly, I think that feature is the one that defines the site. There are certainly better forums around, but the project focus has for years made it worth stopping by.

This problem has gone on now for over a week with times when the site is better and times when it is worse. The Top 15 is has been missing the whole time and that is a real shame. There have been times when I could not even post a comment (no big loss I’m sure, but a frustration). Hope they get it fixed soon as my visits are becoming less frequent.

I agree with all of you. I really miss the top 15. And it would be nice if they’d let us know what’s going on.

It’s not just the top 15 but projects making it into the “top3” are gone. If you click on the top3 heading the newest one is 4 days old. I’m surprised in Ms Debbie’s reply that she doesn’t know if this is temporary or not. It would be a removal of one of the major attractions to this site outside of the forum area.

It is very annoying. I have a project that will probably make the top 3, so I will hold it until the website is working again.

There are several issues other than going on as well. Forum. And also another big one for me… when you look at the project thumbnails… you can’t flip through the thumbnails anymore. Only the first one is enlarged and you can’t see the rest.

Looks like a ongoing problem with the website. It has not been the same for quite some time now. None of the videos can be uploaded and seems to be going downhill ever sense. Hope the powers to be get it going again. It sure has been a good website for a long time for woodworkers.

I miss the Daily Top 15…I used to visit this site daily to see what everyone was working on, but find myself visiting less with the lack of the top15. Why isnt this fixed yet?

Arminius , Just wondering which other Sites out there you are thinking are better ? I haven’t found them unless you are talking about Pay for use sites which I haven’t found one that I would keep paying for.
I justwant this back to good shape.

I miss the top 15 too. It’s been over a week at this point, and I’m getting withdrawal symptoms. I think it’s time to start looking for a new forum. This one is rapidly devolving into a corporate sales funnel. It’s amazing that not one admin has even bothered to acknowledge that there is anything going on with the site.

Paul , Look at some of the other threads on the Site Feedback Forum , they are starting to respond and like you I hope it gets better soon, but I am not leaving unless it just dies compleatly.

I would still rather they post something site wide so I don’t have to go searching for their responses.

And yes. I find myself logging on less and less. But… It’s still the best site out there and I too will stick around. I just wish they’d get things fixed.

Richard – I think this is by far the best site for projects, but I find the forums have developed a certain bitchy tone, and the signal to noise ratio is not the best. There are quite a few contributors who often seem happy to contribute non-answers, wrong answers, or even suggest that a question should not be asked – all of which we have seen in spades in the discussions around recent technical problems.

As a forum community, I find WoodTalk is better, for quality of response Sawmill Creek is better imo.

LOL, funny thing is I got so used to not seeing them (Top 15) that I just power scrolled by them on the way to content. My thanks to the IT types who pointed out some corrections and Cricket for passing stuff on.

a1Jim… Lol. I will learn to read all comments in the thread before moving in. Thank you for the link. I do feel like I got some answers there. But I didn’t know until I spent too much time on that thread that it was fixed.

The three issues I had seem to be fixed now. Yeah!!!!
