I would delete any emails from LJs without even opening them.

Clear your cache, try again, if it still happens look back through emails you may have inadvertently opened.

I removed the cookie, “bestcatabs.com” but it keeps coming back when I click on my profile. I also deleted the email but it still happens. I also blocked, asiruuslp. Didn’t help.

Make sure you use a different password for each site you go to, if you haven’t already done so. I had my email hacked awhile back. Quite annoying. Also get some strong protection.

In the 2 hours that this thread has been alive, there have been 105 new “members” join. 99.9 % are all spam profiles.

I can’t change my password on this site as I can’t get to my home page. Maybe if I buy some fake viagra, they’ll let me view my home page, ya think? What a bunch of retards, do they really think I’ll give them my credit card # after highjacking my homepage, I’d sooner kill them.

Download Google Chrome Browser. Get rid of FireFox, then reload. If you want to avoid this in the future, try a product called Bit Defender anti-virus. It’s 80$ well spent.

All these suggestions to change browsers don’t make sense to me. It doesn’t seem to be his browser, it’s his profile here on LJ. Has anyone else tried to click on his name and go to his profile? I just did and it tried to redirect me to someplace else. That’s got nothing to do with his cache, or his browser, or any other thing on his computer. It is something on LJ.

I don’t think its on bondo’s end, its one the site. I get redirected from his home page as well, but not on my profile. (not yet anyhow). But then I just bought a truck load of mail enhancement pills, so maybe that’s why.

Ahh jinx, joe beat me to it. The browser thing, not the male enhancement drugs!!

Well LJ mods, you think now that maybe ignoring those spam profiles until they actually post something bad isn’t really the best idea?

Bondo Gaposis:

If you block the web site: lu-dena.eu

You should be able to view your home page.

asiruuslp put an iframe in his comment on your home page that loads from (src=) lu-dena.eu

If you use Firefox, download a plugin called NoScript. It allows you to selectively allow Javascript scripts to run for a website or page. My guess is that Bondo’s profile page includes a bunch of rogue code that redirects you to a malware site. NoScript will at least keep the site’s malware code from running on your browser.

But yes, this is a big security problem in the forum software Lumberjocks uses.

wow, I hope it gets worked out. I hope we don’t start getting hi jacked. I don’t need that headache with crap loading on our business PC. That would put a real hurt on us.

That ship has sailed.

Now one can’t actually even look at the “recent members” page without getting bounced off somewhere else.

We should be thankful that the attack is relatively benign … this could be so so so SO much worse…

Imagine the fun that homeland security could be having if you were bounced off to certain sites they might regard as “dodgy”.
Imagine the fun that the police could be having if you were bounced off to pedophile sites.
Imagine the fun we could all be having if you were bounced to pornography sites – better make sure you don’t have any kids with you whilst on the site.
...The list is endless…
