Whoa. It’s glorius, dude. I’d have a hard time touching that one. The patina is just too wonderful. That’s a respectable price for someone in the market for an uncommon but solid little plane. My budget’s shot but it’ll make someone very, very happy.

thanks saddle one of the guys here is a serious looker maybe it will go to an lj before i am forced to list it on eBay I hate the idea of a great plane sitting on the shelf of a serious collector when it is a great usable plane even though the japanning is 99 percent and there is no corrosion . this little plane was found in a carpenters tool box full of tools I am kicking myself because I didn’t buy the whole box i just took the plane ill never make that mistake again

Lance, you’re breaking my heart. I LOVE it. Anything you are in need of you would consider as a trade (+/- cash)? I already have a 602 in my restore queue, but this one has the it factor.

Real nice plane dude. A little strpped for cash though. Haven’t sold those period tea tables yet. By the way, did you get my message about the shaker sewing table plans?

kpw no did you pm me i didn’t get the message ill pm you in a few minutes

Kranker this is a good price for a bedrock 602 they are very hard to find because they weren’t common people who used these planes were cue makers fly rod makers and people who make things like little boxes etc etc the standard smoother for carpentry and wood shops is a no4 that is the most common in a bedrock a no 4 is called a 604 you see there are tens of thousands of those around now with people buying up hand planes at a fast pace the prices have gone up quite a bit supply and demand I have 2 602 an 14 604s i CAN GET 604S ALL DAY LONG BUT GO TO EBAY AND LOOK FOR A FINE 602 YOU WONT FIND IT AND IF YOU DO IT WILL GO FOR CLOSE TO 600 DOLLARS i KNOW MY PRICE IS FAIR AND i HOPE THIS HELPED YOU OUT WANT TO BUY IT
