I did not even notice that you moved your server. I don’t know how big your server is but you must have moved it pretty close to your old location.
With the size of the website and all the Lumberjocks and their projects you must have needed a moving van to get in the new location.
Great job…

There was a significant hardware upgrade involved with this move, so things should be pretty quick for everyone now.

Other than a few guys claiming LJ’s withdrawal symptoms, it seems to be running smoothly.
Good job keeping this excellent website running! Thanks!

Martin,
I have a new hosting site for my website. I changed the URL in the profile page using the edit feature. It changed there but not in any of my old postings. I don’t know if it will show in the new postings. If there is an IP address in this one then it changed. If it says web.me it didn’t. Both addresses currently function.

Maybe it only works with new postings???

Nice job btw… much faster too.

Very very quick.. I was on the edges of losing my mind the couple of times you went down for maintenance, but it was worth it.

FWIW, this is running Rails, I assume? In which case, the site is probably very light, since you use S3 for image hosting.. So then the core of the issue is the database? Dang.. that thing is probably massive.

I run Mozilla Firefox and make a habit of opening projects, blogs and forum topics in new tabs. I have recently noticed a number of occasions that the new tabs would require me to log in to make a comment, but other than that, nothing. It all seems to have gone smoothly and be working well. Congratulations.

seems fine here

the only thing i have noticed
is when i hit ‘who’s online’
(to change the pulse to current
after spending time to read a post)

my picture is not listed there
(which is fine as i know i am there)
until i do it a few times

I am happy with how the site runs but Still there is a problem with posters who can’t read…posting blogs entries in the projects section and not using the appropriate section… this is becoming more prevalant… especially with the new ones posting a wood gloat as a projects…
