Charles is a one of a kind master He has made so many masterpieces they would be hard to list, His most recent project were a number of tables, If I remember right there were 6 total the largest is monsterous (see photo) I told I never take on a project like that, but I’m not Charles and of course he got them all done in spite of being short-handed and other obstacles. He has always amazed me with his know-how, talent, and kindness. |

Man, wish I could visit, if only to see a master craftsman workshop. Not enough time to attempt such a trip. Hope some of the LJ’s get to take home a piece so his legacy could live on with us in some form. |

Just curious how the sale went? Anyone go from the LJ community? |
#27 posted 12-31-2019 03:03 PM |
The sale went very well. We had a very big crowd Saturday until about 2pm. Sunday didn’t have the large crowd but people were coming in throughout the day. Unfortunately it rained on Sunday so we didn’t sell much wood. If people are interested in buying wood we can make arrangements to be there…just contact me. The family really appreciates everyone’s participation at the sale and via GoFundMe. If you haven’t had an opportunity to visit the GoFundMe page, please do….it really helps. Thanks, -- Jeff, www.jeffswooddesigns.com |

I went to the sale on Saturday morning. It was packed when I got there at 9 am sharp. Lots of great tools and great wood. Seemed like most of the larger power tools and really unique lumber went fast. I picked up several hand tools and a nice birdseye Maple board for myself. The sale was exceptionally well organized and tools were fairly priced and the folks doing the pricing had a complete inventory list with retail prices and asking prices. Kudos to Jeff and team and Charles’ family for such a great job putting the sale on. -- I collect hobbies. There is no sense in limiting yourself (Don W) - - - - - - - - Kenny in SW VA |

Awesome to hear about the sale. I really wished I could have gone, but it’s all good. I agree with Potz that the gofundme should be higher by now, but maybe too many people are still on vacation (I know many co-workers are until next week). That’s what I’m hoping is the case and January is when the number will rise much higher. |

I see the gofundme for Charles Family has all but come to a standstill so if you want to help please donate whatever you can, thanks, everyone. |
