All Replies on should i get circular saw or table saw for cutting wood as well as plastic?

I guess it all depends on what you are going to do with it. Cutting wood and plastic for making??? Regular circular saw will cut 2” thick at best. Table saw, maybe 3-1/2”. Table saw cuts much more accurate dimensions and angles.

Yeah, mahdee is right, need a little more information concerning what you want to do to give an informed answer. Both will cut wood and plastic. The amount, accuracy, and dimensions of your material are important factors.

Since I bought a table saw, I’ve only pulled out a circular saw once in the last two years. You can start out with a benchtop model. They’re more accurate on cuts than the circular saw. Most bench top versions have a little slop in the miter track, which also effects accuracy. I got a DeWalt benchtop table saw & four month later sold it and bought a Grizzly Hybred table saw. Such a big difference. If you get a benchtop model that you like, you can always build a workbench that the tabletop table saw fits in, so it operates like a floor model table saw.

Same here as Woodendreams, my circular saw get used by my church group for buildings homes in Mexico.
In fact, had it not been for the fact that I won this saw in a contest, I probably would never have bought one!
