I am a bit uncertain as to what the pest is, possibly a rat, its actually a picture my son sent me after a service call, this is what he found, obviously been there for some time not sure if it died from being stick or sampled some of the 50Cyc juice.

Haha , thats gold and I know probably true. On a serious note if I could work out how to get a green card I,d come and retire in the USA.
Personally I would love to live California.

pottzy, let’s analyze this conundrum. Why not get Santa to pick up some timber when he drops off the cheese slicer… you may need to wait for 12 months only for his return visit… unless you have been a naughty boy…

.... and what the hell is that thing in your breaker box, looks to be alien?...
- pottz

That’s rc’s way of saving shekels… he tried to think outside the square and when the circuit breaker broke he probably decided to eradicate a possum by replacing the circuit breaker with one… he probably forgot that organic material is not a primary electron conductor (unless you accidentally touch a broken power cord… point that out to the sparkies)... after all rc lives in Queensland (beautiful one day,,, Alzheimer’s the next… QLD is a haven for retirees).

Pack 1 and 2 Silky Oak

all the remainder are Qld Walnut.
Pack 3 and 4

Pack 5 and 6

Pack 7 and 8

I got up bloody early this morning thinking there would be a que of keen WW lined up wanting some of these gems, but no even a single person appeared, I even saw an old clapped out car pull up thinking it was Pottzys wheels but that was not even correct.

A call to the local school is on the cards now.

I’d keep some of the walnut… If you ever get into toys, they make ideal wheels… if you follow some of htl and Dutchy’s blogs about wheel making… and a good kerfing jig (if you can somehow get your hand onto one)... as a “fun” exercise you could churn out a few wheels that you may be make a few shekels from… maybe a deposit for that BS (not my verbal but a material BandSaw).

Curious. Pardon my ignorance, learning here… Is this wood particularly valuable? Native to NZ? Sentimental? If so, it wouldn’t weigh more than a box of kitchen pots!. Take ‘em with ‘ya! Don’t tell anybody…!
