I don’t have the Galaxy but a bit of history..
Nova first had the 3000, with belt or with DVR.
They changed the name to the 1624 (belt) and the DVR XP (DVR of course).
The DVR XP came without legs and with the same 24” bed.
It appers…
They added the bed extension, included the cast iron legs, and painted it black …. now the Galaxi.
The tool rest should be the same on both.

Spindle height 42.5” where I have mine set. Adjustment max unknown (guessing 2” max), mine is up about 1”+
Top of Banjo to center 3.75”
Depth of banjo for post 4” It can go all the way through. At times I have mounted my dust collector hood inserting the post from underneath.
Length of the post on their supplied bango is 4”.

I had the outrigger but never used it expect to hold the knock out bar. IIRC Nova states max 6” depth. If interested I can find a video showing a different outboard rest which is less expensive and should work better.

You can skip over to about the 3:30 minute …
Rather than $300 for the outboard the extension cost about $200. Mount your banjo and you have a much easier to move rest (20” + the toolrest length) than moving the outboard rest mounted to the lathe. And go as deep as you dare without limitations.

That was the most impressive thing I’ve watched all week. Appreciate you posting, Lee, and you for asking, OSU, as I’m eyeing the Galaxi for an upgrade from my Delta midi in January.
