A mobile base would give you some height

It won’t give you 3” though. For that you’d have to either put a couple pieces of plywood down inside the mobile base for the saw base to sit on (and then you’d likely want to bolt it down to the wood), or just build a small platform out of plywood for the saw to sit on.

Personally, I need my saw to be mobile so I just adjusted my workbench height down an inch (mine was closer to 36” and my saw is 35” with the mobile base).

With my luck, I would trip on the platform while operating the saw and cause a bad accident.

I had the same issue with my UniSaw I simply made a base out of MDF traced the base on the platform. I removed the base and cut it along the lines that I had put on it, using a jig saw and replacing it beneath the saw. It worked fine and continues to hold my saw at the correct height. It has been almost 10 years.

I hope that this helps.
