I have the jet and that sure looks like it. In fact there is a machined pad with 2 screw holes about 1/2 way on the right bottom portion when the table is up that is on mine as well, so same casting I would wager. Some of the external elements like the on/off look different and the height wheel looks nicer than the jet. Seems like a good price.

I believe there’s at least on LJ with this unit and he posted a review.

I bought the Scorpion about a year ago, other than initial problems only thing I have had to do was relevel the tables a few weeks ago, no idea why they changed and still dead flat. I sort of miss not having separate machine but the space savings and having a 12” jointer more than make up for the 1min. hassle of switching operations. Have started to plan my work more, always make sure to have a spare board milled! In all honesty the machine is good for hobby shop work but doubt it would stand up to any kind of production work.

The only difference I can see is the Jet has a 55” jointer table. And this might be crazy, but I think maybe the helixes might be oriented in opposite directions (right vs. left). On my Jet, I ordered an additional lifting handle, as I find it easier to lift the jointer tables than with a single handle.
