Help needed with shop layout

There was a lady on YouTube that worked in her car port. Very challenging indeed.
I am assuming that based on SWMBO’s demand that the windows be left un-obscured that closing this in is not an option. Any chance of adding a shed in the back yard? You can usually ad a 10×12 without a permit. That way you could have a small area that is all yours and then use the patio as needed. I just don’t have a real good suggestion for you.
