That quote from MJ is so true and it is true in woodworking as well.. We all screw up sometimes, but it is how you recover that makes the difference!! I teach that to all my students!!

I wish but right when prime fishing season started last month work got real busy. I got out first Saturday in October did some salt water fishing caught a bunch of striped bass but couldn’t get up to the lake after that.

Imagine if she didn t fall.

- lumbering_on

Possible she would have just gotten a lead, and maintained enough to stay out front, making the same time period not nearly as impressive. Being down was what made the true competitor in her come out, that was the impressive part. Her inner beast rose up, she wanted, and she got.

We will never know, maybe she really didn’t like the girl in the lead?

I’ve competed in enough sporting events to know that she won because she fell. The adrenaline from anger or embarrassment offers a great power boost!

I prefer getting the fish part out of the way and on to the better part, drinking beer and talking about women.

8 Years Old! Good for you! We use to have an organization & Our Motto Was.

”Get A Kid Hooked On Fishing. NOT On Drugs!”

Unfortunately because of “Adult Interference.” & “Insurance Liability.” We had to close it down.

That was a Real Shame!

See that more and more these days Rick. SO many things we did as kids now would be criminal acts or would cost an arm and leg defending in court.

Sad, very sad.

YES! It is very sad. I use to spend the day, taking Fish Off & Putting WORMS on. I LOVED IT!

Some of these kids had never been outside of Toronto, let alone in a boat catching Fish. Most of them were from the “Not Nice” areas of Toronto and were always getting into Trouble with the LAW!

Their Environment Promoted Trouble! After 4/6 hours of Fishing and even driving the BOAT (Most of them were even afraid of the Water), All you heard after the day was over was “When are WE going Fishing again!” as they Jumped into the water (Voluntarily!) AHHHHHHHHHH! God Bless Their REAL Selves!

I’d do it again in a wink!!!! The SAYING is true, “It’s entirely Possible to get more out of something then what you put into it.” I DID, I DID!!! (I’m starting to Tear Up just typing this!) ....LOL…

Thanks for your Reply Mr. Wood Butcher!

Best Regards: Rick S.
